Desiré Doué continues to add titles in his short career. The French striker from Paris Saint-Germain was chosen as the 2025 Golden Boy, the award that Tuttosport has presented since 2003 to the best footballer under 21 years old and which serves as the youth equivalent of the Ballon d'Or.
With 450 points out of a possible 500, the 20-year-old player dominated the voting and prevailed over other strong candidates such as Pau Cubarsí from Barcelona, Dean Huijsen from Real Madrid, or Kenan Yildiz from Juventus. He received the award in advance, since he had known the results since last month.

The recognition comes at the end of a season in which he was a key piece in a PSG that won everything. Under Luis Enrique's management, he played 61 matches, scored 16 goals, including one in the Champions League final against Inter, and provided 14 assists. His breakthrough was one of the decisive elements in the treble achieved by the Parisian club, which once again sees one of its footballers lift this award after Kylian Mbappé in 2017.
With this distinction, Doué succeeds Lamine Yamal, the 2024 winner, and joins a list of figures that includes Lionel Messi, Cesc Fàbregas, Pedri, Jude Bellingham, and Mbappé himself. After receiving the trophy, the young Frenchman appeared emotional: "I'm grateful to have become a professional footballer; it's every child's dream. I've won many trophies and there are still many more to win, both collectively and individually. I can guarantee hard work and discipline for the rest of my career."

The 2025 edition also featured Argentine presence. Franco Mastantuono was the country's only representative and one of three Real Madrid players nominated. His candidacy reflected the impact he had at River before his arrival at the Spanish club, although ultimately the award went to the PSG footballer. Nevertheless, the native of Azul, meanwhile, due to his age (18), has three more seasons to be able to win the Golden Boy.
