The war between the AFA and the National Government has reignited, and once again the main figure was Pablo Toviggino. The treasurer of the entity and Claudio "Chiqui" Tapia's most trusted man once again chose social media to lash out at Javier Milei, this time due to the absence of Argentine representatives at the FIFA meeting regarding the organization of the 2030 World Cup.
True to his confrontational style, Toviggino made bombastic statements such as "a Government and a President who hate what is popular, hate football" and accused the president of turning his back on the "most important initiative in the history of South American football." However, behind the verbal fireworks, he contributed little regarding what the project actually means and what AFA's role should be.
He even resorted to political allusions unrelated to the topic, such as the case of the National Disability Agency, to use irony against Karina Milei. He ended his message with a direct attack on the President: "He didn't send anyone to the meeting, apparently he's only concerned about the 'rescue' of the capital flight perpetrators... Fortunately, they won't even make it to 2030, sorry, not even to 2027."
