Technology entrepreneur Elon Musk has publicly announced his intention to help fund legal actions related to the child exploitation scandal involving sex gangs in the United Kingdom.
Through his social network X, Musk replied to a post by British parliamentarian Rupert Lowe stating: "I want to collaborate in funding legal proceedings against the corrupt officials who facilitated and covered up the systematic rape in Britain, according to the government inquiry. Reply to this message to be considered."
The comment came after the preliminary results of an official investigation led by Lowe, chairman of the so-called Inquiry into Grooming Gangs, were published.
This report has revealed that at least 85 British local authorities are linked to historic and recent cases of child exploitation. The magnitude of the scandal spans the entire United Kingdom, from Aberdeen in Scotland to Plymouth in the south of England.

The report details that some of these sexual assaults date back to the 1960s and denounces that the victims, in many cases vulnerable girls, were systematically ignored or left unprotected by law enforcement and local governments.
The study points to the existence of networks of organized men, mostly of Pakistani origin, as the main perpetrators in several of the cases investigated. However, beyond the profile of the offenders, what most concerns the investigators is the widespread institutional negligence.
Lowe stated that the findings represent one of the most comprehensive exposés to date on sexual abuse committed by gangs in the United Kingdom.
He also denounced the "inaction" of the central government, accusing it of repeatedly failing to implement concrete measures despite promises. In response, the parliamentarian announced that public hearings will be held before the end of the year where victims will be able to give testimony and proposals from experts to improve child protection systems will be heard.
