Elon Musk announced that he will fund research into Pakistani pedophile gangs
The tech magnate released his intention to collaborate in the investigation of illegal immigrant gangs in the United Kingdom
Technology entrepreneur Elon Musk has publicly announced his intention to help fund legal actions related to the child exploitation scandal involving sex gangs in the United Kingdom.
Through his social network X, Musk replied to a post by British parliamentarian Rupert Lowe stating: "I want to collaborate in funding legal proceedings against the corrupt officials who facilitated and covered up the systematic rape in Britain, according to the government inquiry. Reply to this message to be considered."
The comment came after the preliminary results of an official investigation led by Lowe, chairman of the so-called Inquiry into Grooming Gangs, were published.
This report has revealed that at least 85 British local authorities are linked to historic and recent cases of child exploitation. The magnitude of the scandal spans the entire United Kingdom, from Aberdeen in Scotland to Plymouth in the south of England.

The report details that some of these sexual assaults date back to the 1960s and denounces that the victims, in many cases vulnerable girls, were systematically ignored or left unprotected by law enforcement and local governments.
The study points to the existence of networks of organized men, mostly of Pakistani origin, as the main perpetrators in several of the cases investigated. However, beyond the profile of the offenders, what most concerns the investigators is the widespread institutional negligence.
Lowe stated that the findings represent one of the most comprehensive exposés to date on sexual abuse committed by gangs in the United Kingdom.
He also denounced the "inaction" of the central government, accusing it of repeatedly failing to implement concrete measures despite promises. In response, the parliamentarian announced that public hearings will be held before the end of the year where victims will be able to give testimony and proposals from experts to improve child protection systems will be heard.

The report is based on an extensive collection of data: thousands of freedom of information requests, interviews with victims and relatives, as well as statements from whistleblowers within the institutions themselves.
The investigators highlighted the lack of response from some authorities, even after explicit complaints were made, and emphasized the urgent need to implement accountability and oversight mechanisms.
Meanwhile, the commission will urge the implicated local authorities to cooperate fully and transparently. The main goal, according to the investigators, is to ensure the protection of past victims and prevent new cases in the future.

This new scandal recalls other widely publicized episodes in the United Kingdom, such as those in Rochdale, Rotherham, or Telford, where institutional failure to address complaints and protect minors had already been evidenced. In those cases, networks of systematic abuse, cover-ups by authorities, and police negligence were also identified.
Elon Musk's intervention has provoked diverse reactions, ranging from praise for his willingness to support victims to criticism warning about the politicization of the issue.
Nevertheless, his involvement has attracted renewed international attention to the case, generating expectations as to whether his financial support could accelerate judicial proceedings or pressure institutions to act more forcefully.
