The father of Paola Lonzo, the woman around 40 years old who was murdered after being run over by criminals who were fleeing after a robbery in Villa Madero, La Matanza, broke his silence and expressed his anger, desperation, and helplessness in the face of the tragic situation he is experiencing.
"As you can see, there isn't a single police officer, there isn't anyone," he began, speaking to journalists. Lonzo's daughter died instantly after a white Fiat Siena, stolen minutes earlier, struck her while the thieves were fleeing along with a Peugeot 208 also used in the escape.

For Paola's father, the absence of controls and the lack of police presence in the area are central to the tragedy. "In the end, those who say you have to arm yourself and defend yourself will be right, because there isn't any other possibility," he warned, reflecting a sentiment that has become common amid the surge of violent robberies and homicides in Buenos Aires province, governed by ultra-Kirchnerist Axel Kicillof.
The criminals who killed his daughter had just robbed a butcher shop located a few blocks from the scene. They were fleeing at high speed when they ran over the motorcycle on which Paola was traveling with her companion, who suffered multiple fractures and remains hospitalized. After the impact, the suspects continued their escape and abandoned one of the vehicles further ahead.
