Thieves ran over and killed a woman while escaping after a robbery in Villa Madero

In recent hours, a new episode of insecurity with a fatal outcome was reported in Villa Madero, La Matanza district, the stronghold of Kirchnerism.

A couple riding a motorcycle was run over by thieves in a car while they were trying to escape after committing a robbery. The woman, identified as Paola Lonzo, approximately 40 years old, was thrown and crashed into a pole, which caused her instant death. Her companion suffered multiple fractures and had to be urgently transported to the hospital.

The serious accident occurred at the corner of General Pinto, where the motorcycle was traveling, and General Paunero, the street where the two cars used in the escape were speeding. The occupants of those vehicles had just robbed a business, specifically a butcher shop located about three blocks away, and escaped in the car belonging to an employee of the establishment.

The criminals were moving in a white Peugeot 208 and a white Fiat Siena, the latter stolen that same night in Tapiales. It was the Siena that struck the motorcycle and, due to the violence of the crash, the driver was thrown, hit her head against the pillar of a house and died instantly.

After the impact, the criminals continued their escape, but shortly afterward the Fiat Siena stopped at a corner in the area. According to information released by TN, the other vehicle waited for the suspects to get out and then everyone continued the escape in the 208.

The case was assigned to prosecutor Marcelo Diomede, from UFI No. 5 of La Matanza, who ordered the necessary forensic examinations to determine how the incident occurred. Meanwhile, investigators are still working to find those responsible. After the tragic episode, local residents demanded a greater police presence.

Another recent case in Villa Madero

Just two days earlier, a young man 21 years old was killed after being shot during a robbery on the service road of the Teniente General Pablo Riccheri Highway, at kilometer 8.

The victim, Nazareno Tobías Isern, was returning from an outing with a friend when two armed thieves crossed their path intending to steal his bicycle. The homicide occurred this Monday afternoon and was reported to the police through a 911 call that alerted them to the presence of a lifeless person at the scene.
