The municipal chief is promoting tax exemptions for 30 years and is highlighting fiscal order, seeking to attract new investors
Mayor Fernando Rambaldi highlighted the remarkable growth of La Calera, a town that has already reached 50,000 permanent inhabitants. During a recent interview, the leader emphasized the importance of breaking the old bedroom-community model in order to promote employment. He proposed and approved an ambitious ordinance that exempts those who decide to invest and produce in this area from commercial and industrial taxes for 30 years.
Rambaldi invited the owners of small businesses established in Córdoba to move to his district in order to create genuine local jobs. The city currently has robust infrastructure that includes drinking water services, natural gas, and an extensive network of new sewers. In addition, 90% of the territory has fiber-optic connectivity, complementing upcoming roadworks to double the number of lanes on highways.
The mayor acknowledged essential points of agreement with Javier Milei's administration regarding the necessary stabilization of the macroeconomy. He fully valued the goal of reducing inflation and building a State that definitively eliminates obsolete and corrupt political practices. In this regard, he criticized the political sectors that tried to maintain a middle-of-the-road approach, asserting that society is demanding real change.

Public management with transparent accounts
When the administration took office, the municipal government faced a critical situation that made it impossible even to meet payroll for employees. The mayor managed to balance public finances through a rigorous adjustment based on honesty and transparency in all processes. "The 167 political cronies we found who were not going to work understood it and no longer work," he stated, marking a new institutional course.
The current administration filed more than 25 criminal complaints for acts of corruption detected to the direct detriment of taxpayers' assets. In this regard, he maintained that officials from the previous period diverted public funds with a current approximate value of 6 billion, affecting essential public works. This embezzled amount represents the total budget for three months, revealing a system of illicit association that is now facing justice.
Rambaldi promoted a pioneering anti-bribery ordinance in the province (as it is the first to be implemented in Córdoba) in order to put an end to kickbacks and the discretionary management of state resources. He stated that he found fraudulent schemes with fake invoices that the previous administration used to justify nonexistent expenses. The leader highlighted that the municipal workforce accepted the new internal control rules in order to eradicate illegal privileges.
Positive impact of national order
The reduction of bureaucracy made it possible to go from 323 initial public agents to a staff of 197 people without undermining the quality of service. The mayor boasted that he has not hired new employees for the municipality, always prioritizing operational efficiency in each management area. Currently, La Calera has a financial surplus and a positive annual balance sheet that was recently approved by local authorities.
The mayor assessed the drop in inflation positively, since at the beginning of his administration it reached 26% per month, which made any planning difficult. Previously, the municipality had to renegotiate collective bargaining agreements every thirty days in order to prevent the erosion of the purchasing power of the various unions. With the current monetary stability, the city can access bank loans and plan infrastructure works with fiscal predictability.
The national macroeconomic order makes it possible to generate genuine savings that the municipality reinvests directly in improvements for all residents. This financial independence drastically reduces the need to request extraordinary economic assistance from the provincial government. Rambaldi highlighted that the national government's fiscal policies provide a framework of legal certainty in order to attract private capital to his jurisdiction.
End of local political fiefdoms
The leader stated that his electoral victory represented citizens' weariness with a stale and highly corrupt political system. "We came to break a dynasty that was one of the fiefdoms of the metropolitan area," he said with absolute conviction about the end of the local caste. His administration focuses on dismantling the power structures that for 16 years drained the public coffers of the Córdoba municipality.
"Those who for 16 years plundered the municipality intend to return in order to recover their small business and continue stealing, but we are not going to allow it," he asserted. This way, he demonstrates his determination to prevent the return of clientelist practices that deeply damaged the social and economic fabric of this thriving and growing town. The commitment against the system of political favors is absolute, always seeking to protect the efforts of residents who choose to live in freedom.
La Calera is now projected as a hub of attraction for productive investments thanks to a management model based on real fiscal balance. The mayor concluded that honesty and transparency are the essential pillars for guaranteeing a prosperous future for the entire region. Residents are supporting this process of institutional cleanup that is positioning the city as the undisputed leader within the Colón department.
