Flavio Azzaro exploded against Maximiliano Salas after Racing’s victory in Córdoba
The journalist, a supporter of Academia, celebrated the victory over Belgrano with harsh criticism of the forward following his controversial departure to River
Journalist Flavio Azzaro made waves on social media again after Racing's 1-0 victory overBelgrano in Córdoba in the second round of the local tournament. This time, his criticism was directed at a specific individual: Maximiliano Salas, a forward who recently left La Academia to continue his career at River.
La crítica de Azzaro a Salas
"Suck it, Salas," Azzaro began bluntly, in his classic vehement tone. "With the Colombian who started the match in your position, at least he scored the goal that gave Racing the win in Córdoba. There's no better way to start this reaction than by saying suck it, Salas," he said, referring to the goal scored by Roger Martínez, which made the difference on the scoreboard.
Beyond his initial outburst, the journalist also praised the team's attitude: "Obviously, the most important thing is for Racing to win. The team may have lost the first round with a match ending that caused a lot of frustration, with Racing not having played well. The team had to go to Córdoba, had to step up and had to bring back the three points no matter what."
Azzaro emphasized that the victory was fair and that the team showed superiority at key moments in the match: "No matter what also means deserving it in part. Because the truth is that Racing had the best chances, the truth is that Racing could have sealed the win earlier, for example with Nardoni's header."
Finally, he highlighted the contribution of the Colombian Vergara, who is starting to earn a place in the team: "The match was even and Racing made the difference with an out-of-context goal, with a stunning goal from Vergara who is starting to repay with goals what Racing invested in him."

Azzaro's words did not go unnoticed and fueled the debate among fans, precisely at a time when Salas is beginning his spell at River while Racing is trying to reinvent itself after his departure.
