Former model linked to PSOE reported sexual harassment by Sánchez's entourage

The young woman described the pressure and humiliation she experienced while working with the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party

Claudia Montes, Miss Asturias and former employee in the circle of Spanish socialist politician José Luis Ábalos, reported on television that she had been a victim of sexual harassment by Koldo García, a figure close to left-wing president Pedro Sánchez.

In an emotionally charged interview given to the program En Boca de Todos, the young woman described specific situations of pressure and humiliation that she experienced while working with the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). She stated that the former adviser to the Ministry of Transport sent her messages with explicit instructions about her clothing, with the aim of provoking men during political meetings.

According to her account in the interview, Koldo suggested that she wear open jerseys or see-through clothing so that "nipples would be visible," as well as adopt "positions" that would allow her to show "her breasts or buttocks." Montes indicated that, although she initially found it difficult to talk about the subject, those kinds of messages were frequent and not isolated incidents. She even claimed that some may have been recorded and later leaked by the authorities.

"He asked me to wear a blue jersey, for my chest to be visible…," she recounted through tears. "I felt ashamed, but now I understand that I'm not the one who should feel it. Still, it's hard for me," she confessed. She also acknowledged that, at certain times, she complied with the suggestions out of fear of losing her job: "I did it because I was afraid he would fire me."

Claudia Montes's statements offer a new perspective on the internal workings of the Socialist Party during Ábalos's administration in the Executive, once again putting Koldo García at the center of controversy, already under investigation in the well-known Koldo case.

Montes publicly expressed her gratitude for the release of one of the audio recordings, which, according to her, helped her confirm one of the messages she received. She also did not rule out taking further action if it is proven that other women went through similar experiences.

The interview caused a strong political and media impact, reigniting the debate about institutional silence in the face of abusive behavior in positions of power. So far, PSOE has not issued any official statement regarding Montes's allegations.
