Franco Colapinto once again made a significant mark in Formula 1, this time at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Although the Argentine driver had to deal with technical problems and an incident in the opening laps, he managed to finish the race in 15th place, the same position from which he had started. The result did not fully reflect his performance, but it did allow his performance to attract attention within the paddock.
Even in an adverse context for Alpine, Colapinto received special recognition from the top category, which highlighted a historic achievement reached after completing 1,333 laps in the category. That milestone made him the third Argentine with the most laps completed in the history of the championship, surpassing the legendary José Froilán González.
Through its official social media, the top category celebrated his statistical progress with a post that emphasized the significance of the milestone: "What names! After the Las Vegas GP, Colapinto surpassed Froilán González and now only has fewer laps in F1 than Fangio and Reutemann".
