Franco Colapinto suffered a theft in Italy and reacted with irony on social media

While enjoying the break from Formula 1 after the Hungarian Grand Prix, Franco Colapinto experienced a tough moment in Italy. The Alpine driver had several personal items stolen in an incident that, according to reports, occurred while he was not at the location.

Among the stolen items were clothing, a thermos, and the mate that usually accompanies him on every trip, one of the most characteristic images of the young Argentine driver.

The Argentine driver's reaction on social media

Rather than just reporting the incident, Colapinto chose to share what happened with his followers through posts on his social media.

In an initial reaction he showed photographs of some of the stolen belongings and ironically wrote that he hoped those who took them enjoyed them.

Later, he referred to the incident again with another humorous message, especially lamenting the loss of his mate set and joking that the culprits probably wouldn't know how to appreciate that Argentine custom.

He even responded to a follower who was surprised by the theft with another ironic post, comparing the situation to his experience in Argentina.
