Gallardo spoke about the transfer market after River's debut and hopes to finalize deals for Portillo and Galarza.
In the press conference following the victory over Platense, Muñeco addressed the situations of Talleres' players
River started the Torneo Clausura with a smile thanks to its 3-1 victory over Platense at Estadio Monumental, showing moments of good play, although there is still much to improve. However, the post-match press conference did not focus so much on the game, but rather on the transfer market, especially regarding the names of Juan Carlos Portillo and Matías Galarza Fonda, players from Talleres de Córdoba.
In this regard, Marcelo Gallardoexpressed confidence that negotiations will reach a successful conclusion: "We have been talking with Talleres for some time now, the offers have been submitted. We believe that so far we haven't been able to reach an agreement, but with goodwill from both sides, an agreement will be reached," said the Millonario coach.
"Beyond the players' desire to wear our jersey, it is valid that we are in the final stages. We hope that it can be solved in the best way for both clubs," he added.

Tévez's stance and the players' situation
On the opposite side of the negotiating table, Carlos Tévez, the new coach of Talleres, was clear after the defeat against San Lorenzo: "Portillo, since I arrived, has had his mind elsewhere, but I respect him. The same thing is happening with Fonda, which is why he only trained and was on the bench, but he has to make a decision. The team is not in a position to wait; if he wants to be here, he's welcome, and if he doesn't want to be here, he will be left out. I don't want players who don't want to be here."

Although there is still a lot of uncertainty, everything indicates that River and Talleres will reach an agreement. As of today, there is talk of a figure close to 8 million dollars, in addition to the possible loan of players such as Santiago Simón.
Meanwhile, Gallardo expects Portillo and Galarza Fonda to join this very week, while at the same time the return of Juan Fernando Quintero is also progressing to strengthen the squad for the rest of the semester.
