Martín Garabal mocked Nico Occhiato live for Boca's defeat

The Boca-River superclásico slipped into the program and sparked an unexpected clash between the comedian and the host

Boca Juniors's 2-1 defeat against River in the superclásico not only impacted the fans,  it also caused tense and hilarious moments in the media. In his streaming program,  Nico Occhiato received a flood of irony from Martín Garabal, who mocked the result by pretending to be a Boca fan, albeit with an evident tone of mockery.

From the start of the program,  Garabal adopted an exaggeratedly euphoric attitude. "Very high, very happy. Don't tease us today because we took two goals yesterday, we Boca fans," he said, with a sarcastic wink that quickly made Occhiato uncomfortable.

The host, visibly annoyed, didn't hesitate to retort:  "Do you know you're an idiot?" Garabal continued with his character:  "We started well with Merentiel, but Mastantuono came... at 44 they scored one and I said 'damn it.' We have endurance, we don't care about anything."

"I'm a Boca fan to the core," Garabal launched with unleashed irony

While Occhiato tried to explain the context of the defeat, Garabal didn't lower his provocative tone. "Let's go Boca, Boca, Boca. Long live Gago, Gallardo... we'll have our revenge," he insisted. Upon hearing that illogical mix of names, the host couldn't take it anymore: "Martín, you're not a Boca fan!"

Without breaking character, Garabal insisted with a delirious response:  "I'm a Boca fan to the core. I'm Xeneixe." The dialogue escalated with increasingly absurd phrases, while Occhiato tried to contain his anger with nervous laughter.

The host confessed that he had considered avoiding the topic in the pre-show meeting. "I was going to say 'let's not touch on the football topic,' because it gets me down," he revealed. But he decided not to hold back:  "I'm going to wise up this fool, maybe he doesn't even realize," he said, acknowledging that he expected the mockery.

Garabal doubled down:  "I breathe blue and gold in my veins. I have the Fate jersey, the Parmalat one. Boca is feeling, Boca is my passion," he intoned with a theatrical tone. Occhiato replied with a mix of resignation and sarcasm:  "Today I'm hurt, but... you know it because it was Larry's song."

Between teasing and truths, Occhiato defended his Xeneize passion

Despite the jokes, the host reaffirmed his love for Boca: "We will recover, we are a tremendous team," he said with conviction. He questioned Garabal: "Did you watch the game? Did you learn two names? Merentiel and Mastantuono?" he asked.

When Occhiato accused him of having looked up information at the last minute, Garabal excused himself with a smile:  "Do you think that before opening the program I opened Google to make the perdura?" And he concluded by pointing to his phone:  "No, fool. Do you realize? What a fool," Occhiato replied.

The exchange ended with a confession full of irony from the comedian. "Of all the clubs there are, Boca and River are the ones I like the most. I'm between those two... but more Boca," he launched. And he justified his choice with a joke that made the team laugh:  "Because you're a Boca fan and you pay me. It's okay... little, but on time."

A clash that exposed football passion and sharp humor live

What started as a routine conversation turned into a show full of sarcasm, irony, and football passions.  While Occhiato tried to handle the defeat with some dignity, Garabal turned the Xeneize pain into an improvised sketch, where every phrase was designed to unsettle his partner.

The scene made it clear that when it comes to football, not even streaming escapes Argentine folklore. Much less if there's a comedian like Garabal on the microphone.
