In a firm act of authority and compliance with the public order protocol, members of the National Gendarmerie thwarted an attempt at illegal occupation on Tuesday at the headquarters of the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA), located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Núñez.
The incident, involving activists from the State Workers' Association (ATE) led by Rodolfo Aguiar, escalated when a group of people whose contracts were not renewed illegally entered the building, causing serious disturbances in an area declared as a strategic institution. In response to the initial overflow of protesters, the National Gendarmerie requested immediate reinforcements, which included the deployment of armored vehicles to secure the perimeter and evict the intruders.

The intervention was necessary to restore security in a facility where Argentine nuclear development is managed, a sector that the union aims to use as a hostage for its political interests.
Despite the narrative of "mass layoffs" spread by the left, the technical reality of the agency shows a necessary reorganization of the State. According to official data, there were no arbitrary layoffs, but rather 61 contracts not renewed. It is essential to highlight that:
The 100% of those terminated entered under the fixed-term contract modality during the year 2023, under the Kirchnerist management of Adriana Serquis, in a clear attempt to inflate the workforce before the change of government.
