Shakira's personal life is once again in the spotlight, and this time not because of her songs or her shows, but because of her renewed closeness with an old flame: Antonio de la Rúa.
Although there is no official confirmation, various signs are fueling the version that the singer and the Argentine businessman, who was her partner for more than a decade, might be experiencing a new chapter together.
In recent hours, one particular gesture has become key in this story and has caused a strong media impact: a direct intervention by De la Rúa in the legal and emotional battle that Shakira is having with Gerard Piqué.
The information was revealed by journalist Juan Etchegoyen on his program Mitre Live, where he stated that the bond between the Colombian artist and her ex-boyfriend has grown stronger recently and that he is even playing an active role as emotional support amid the conflicts Shakira is having with the former Barcelona footballer.
The detail that drew the most attention was a phrase that, according to Etchegoyen, Antonio de la Rúa would have said to Shakira in private: "I'll take care of Gerard Piqué."
This expression, interpreted as a protective gesture, would have come at an especially sensitive moment for the artist, who since her separation from the Spanish former defender has faced legal claims, tensions over the custody of her children, and constant media overexposure.

The journalist explained that De la Rúa not only accompanies Shakira in daily life, but he also might have offered to mediate or intervene in matters related to the athlete's circle in order to ease the pressure on the singer. This gesture, seemingly simple, would have been interpreted by Shakira as an act of support and loyalty that rekindled the feelings that once united them.
Although neither Shakira nor De la Rúa have released statements on the matter, Etchegoyen keeps that the closeness between them is evident and that the singer's children, Milan and Sasha, reportedly have an excellent relationship with the Argentine businessman, something that also might have contributed to strengthening the bond.
"I already said weeks ago that they were reconciled. What I am receiving now confirms it. The good rapport the kids have with Antonio is further proof," the journalist pointed out, who also emphasized that both have been seen sharing activities in Miami, the city where Shakira has settled after her definitive move from Barcelona.
