Inter Miami, under Lionel Messi, is already beginning to shape its 2026. The reigning MLS champion has made official the initial schedule for its preseason, which will have a high-flying start: three matches in South America, a setting chosen to open an international tour with a strong sporting and commercial impact.
The debut will be on Saturday, January 24, in Lima, where the Florida side will visit Alianza Lima at the Alejandro Villanueva stadium at 5 p.m. ET (7 p.m. in Argentina). It will be the second consecutive season that the U.S. club plays in Peru, and it will face one of the country's most successful teams, with 25 First Division titles.
One week later, on Saturday, January 31, the team will travel to Medellín to face Atlético Nacional at the Atanasio Girardot stadium at 5 p.m. ET (7 p.m. in Argentina). The "verdolaga" side, recognized as the most decorated in Colombia, has accumulated 18 league titles and two Copa Libertadores trophies in its history.
The South American tour will conclude on Saturday, February 7 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. There, Inter Miami will visit Barcelona at the Monumental Banco Pichincha, starting at 7 p.m. ET (9 p.m. in Argentina), in what will be the first official clash in the history of the North American club against an Ecuadorian opponent. "El Ídolo del Astillero" leads the domestic honors list with 16 championships.
