Google Flow integrates Nano Banana and improves AI video creation

Google announced a key update to Google Flow, its creative studio powered by artificial intelligence. The platform now integrates Nano Banana to guide image generation and enhance video creation.

According to details the company shared on its official blog, the tool adds a new interface and advanced content management features. The goal is to turn Flow into a unified hub for creating images, videos, and stories with Google AI.

What changes in Google Flow with Nano Banana integration

Until now, Google Flow was focused on video generation with Veo models. With this update, image generation takes on a central role.

Nano Banana is now fully integrated into the main experience. It allows users to create images that can later be used as a basis for producing videos without leaving the platform.

From image to video: how the new creative flow works

Image generation is free within the creative studio. Those images can be adjusted before users send them to the Veo 3.1 model.

With the "Ingredients to Video" feature, users first refine the images. Then, Veo uses them as input to achieve a more precise result in video.

New interface and asset management

One of the most important changes is the new asset grid. It is a flexible grid that organizes images and videos caused within each project.

The system allows users to search, filter, and sort content. Users can also create custom collections with specific assets.

Additionally, Google indicated that next month it will be possible to transfer content created in Whisk and ImageFX to Flow. The idea is to centralize the creative experience.

Improved editing tools

Flow adds simpler controls to extend clips, add or remove parts of the video, and define camera movement styles. These features aim to make editing easier without requiring advanced technical knowledge.
