Since December, immigration control operations have allowed the expulsion of 211 foreigners who were in an irregular situation in the country. The inspections, coordinated by the National Directorate of Migration, aimed to verify the migratory status, the declared category, regular entry into the national territory and compliance with work and accommodation obligations

.

The measure is part of a policy of greater oversight promoted by the national Government to reinforce the migratory order and ensure that those who reside in Argentina do so under current regulations. Reportedly, the expulsions affected people who could not prove their legal permanence or who failed to meet the conditions established by the legislation

In the last three operations, carried out in La Plata, Liniers and Villa Celina, the authorities surveyed a total of 1,841 people.

The procedures included document checks, background checks and verification of a declared address. In each case, it was evaluated whether foreigners met the corresponding migratory category and with the obligations associated with their stay in the

country.

These controls seek to tidy up the system and avoid situations of prolonged irregularity. The inspections are not only aimed at detecting irregular earnings, but also at verifying compliance with working and contractual conditions

.

The reinforcement of immigration control is part of a broader policy aimed at strengthening law enforcement and optimizing State control mechanisms. The Executive maintains that the objective is to guarantee clear and predictable rules, both for those who enter the country and for those who already reside there

In this framework, the authorities anticipated that operations will continue in different parts of the national territory. The strategy aims to consolidate a transparent migration system, with regular checks and coordination between security forces and administrative bodies

.

The Government thus reaffirms its decision to maintain a permanent migratory control scheme, with a territorial presence and effective oversight. Argentina will keep its doors open to those who respect the law, but those who remain in an irregular situation must face the consequences provided for in current regulations
