The city of Villa Nueva will experience an unprecedented event this Saturday, October 11: a soccer match featuring Fiat 600s. The activity is part of the 9th National and International Fiat 600 Reunion, which brings together collectors and fans of the iconic vehicle. The event will take place at 5:00 p.m. at Parque Hipólito Yrigoyen.
The format features two teams made up of five cars each, with four "players" on the field and a "goalkeeper" per side. The drivers must push a giant ball to score goals, following the basic rules of traditional soccer. This is a recreation of a motorsport show that originated in Italy in the 1960s.

The event is organized by Club Leandro N Alem and Club Fiat 600 of Villa Nueva. It was originally going to be held at La Leonera, but was moved due to poor field conditions and sporting commitments. The organizers expect a large turnout throughout the long weekend.

A proposal with history and family spirit
"Soccer with fititos" was designed as a recreational and safe experience. Each vehicle must follow a designated route to avoid collisions while pushing the ball with the front end. The format promises fun, but also precision and teamwork.
"It's a format that originated in Europe and is very entertaining. All rules and safety regulations are observed," explained Osvaldo D’Annunzio, promoter of the event and owner of a fitito limousine. The initiative aims to combine mechanical passion, humor, and popular tradition.
The Fiat 600 Reunion will run until Monday, the 13th, and will include caravans, exhibitions, and raffles. The organizers emphasized that Villa Nueva will be the national epicenter of enthusiasm for the model that defined an era in the Argentine automotive industry.

Fiat 600: a classic that remains relevant
The Fiat 600 was one of the country's most popular cars during the 1960s and 1970s. Its low fuel consumption, compact size, and easy maintenance made it a symbol of accessible mobility. Today, its presence at events like this reflects the model's continued relevance across generations.
Currently, fitito clubs throughout the country bring together thousands of owners who restore and preserve their vehicles with pride. The reunion in Villa Nueva brings together representatives from several provinces and even visitors from neighboring countries.
Beyond the humor of the match, the event celebrates freedom of movement and the value of individual effort. The Fiat 600's endurance over time is also a metaphor for work, creativity, and passion for one's own heritage.
