In the middle of preseason, Gustavo Costas appeared excited about Racing's presentRacing and, according to him, he marks a turning point at the club. From Paraguay, where Academia carried out part of the preparation, the coach highlighted the sporting and institutional growth and summed up the change of scenario with a forceful phrase: "Before, it was difficult for players to want to come. Today you call and they all want to come".
In a conversation with TyC Sports, the coach made a highly positive assessment of the work carried out in recent weeks. "I'm happy about everything. Compared to the other one, this really was a preseason. I have been working for 26 years and it was one of the best", he stated, emphasizing that for the first time he had the time and ideal conditions to be able to plan properly.

Costas focused on the group's intensity and commitment: "The work was very good, the group keeps growing and the boys gave everything. They trained at one hundred percent in every practice", he explained, satisfied with the squad's response in a year that promises to be demanding.
He also celebrated the transfer market and the arrival of the reinforcements he requested. "We needed these two boys and we already have them", he said in reference to Matko Miljevich and Valentín Carboni. He also clarified that the priority now is to bring in a right-back after Facundo Mura's move to Inter Miami.
