The GWM Ora 03 arrived in Argentina without tariffs: how much does it cost and what features does the new Chinese electric car offer?
The GWM Ora 03 has arrived in Argentina with a more competitive price thanks to the tax benefits currently in effect for electric vehicles.
Thanks to the exemption from tariffs, the model is offered at u$s31,000 and aims to become a strong option compared to other electric vehicles like the Renault Kwid E-Tech.

Why Ora 03 doesn't pay taxes
The arrival of this model takes place within the framework of decree 331/2017, which exempts electric, hybrid, or hydrogen cars from external tariffs. This allows for a significant reduction in its final price.
To access this benefit, cars must meet technical requirements and have approval from the Secretariat of Industry. The Ora 03 has already been approved under these conditions.
A retro design with modern technology
Designed by a former Porsche designer, the Ora 03 blends retro aesthetics with modern details. Its shape is reminiscent of the New Beetle, but with aerodynamic improvements and an urban focus.

Compact and designed for the city, it offers a more complete interior than other models in its price range.
Interior and connectivity
The equipment includes eco-leather upholstery, electric seats, automatic climate control, and armrests with cup holders. The multimedia system combines two 10.25-inch screens.

It offers wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front and rear USB ports, a 360° camera, and an electrochromic mirror.
Engine, range, and charging
With 169 hp and 250 Nm of torque, the Ora 03 offers a range of up to 310 km (193 miles) with its 48 kWh battery.
It supports fast charging in 40 minutes (from 10% to 80%) and AC charging. It consumes 16.7 kWh every 100 km (62 miles) in a mixed cycle.

Safety and driver assistance
It comes with autonomous braking, stability control, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and hill start assist.
It is already being sold in Europe, complying with demanding safety regulations.

How it is positioned in the market
The Ora 03 competes with the Renault Kwid E-Tech in price, but offers more equipment. It also faces models like the Nissan Leaf and Peugeot e-208, although these have higher prices.
It targets those seeking low operating costs, attractive design, and good technology in an electric market that is beginning to gain momentum in the country.
