The president gave a triumphant speech celebrating his policies and exposing the Democratic disaster

President Donald Trump offered this Tuesday a historic State of the Union address for the first time since his return to the White House. It was the longest address that has ever taken place at this annual event, surpassing the one given by President Bill Clinton in 2000.
In total, Trump's presence at the podium before the members of Congress lasted around one hour and 48 minutes. By contrast, Clinton's address on January 27, 2000, lasted approximately 1 hour
The State of the Union is the president's annual address to Congress and to the country. It functions as a progress report in equal parts, where the head of state provides an agenda plan and a political measuring stick for what comes next.

Celebrating the economy
Trump celebrated the current state of the U.S. economy, highlighting that the stock market is at "record highs." "We have achieved a transformation like no one has ever seen. A historic turnaround for posterity," he stated. "We will never go back to where we were just a very short time ago."
He highlighted his flagship tax package known as the "Big Beautiful Bill," which Congress passed last year and which includes tax exemptions for workers' tips and overtime, as well as a tax deduction for senior citizens. He also promoted "Trump" tax-advantaged accounts for children.
He defended tariffs as a mechanism "to achieve great deals for our country" and described as "disappointing" the Supreme Court ruling that partially invalidates them. He said that he would use another authority to continue imposing tariffs and to keep transforming U.S. trade policy for the better.

Combating irregular immigration
Trump spoke about his administration's offensive to combat illegal immigration, asserting that he has achieved "the strongest border in the history of the United States, by far," and that he has drastically reduced the undocumented population in the country.
He highlighted victims of violence and crimes committed by people who were in the country illegally thanks to the policies promoted by the Democratic Party. Some relatives of the victims of these undocumented immigrants were present in the audience.

Exposing the Democrats
Trump challenged the Democrats repeatedly and exposed the disastrous outcome that their policies have had for the American people. He blamed them for the high cost of living, railed against former President Joe Biden "and his corrupt partners in Congress and beyond" for inflation and the "green scam," and accused them of supporting "open borders for everyone."
"The same people in this Chamber who voted for those disasters now use the word "affordability." One word — they just used it, someone gave it to them," the president said. "You caused that problem," he added, pointing toward the opposition.

On Iran and foreign policy
Trump took credit for destroying Iran's nuclear program during the attacks in June and declared that Tehran is developing missiles capable of striking the United States. Although the presidential intentions regarding a new possible attack on Iran remain unclear, the head of state stated that he prefers to solve this conflict through diplomacy.
He highlighted that he and his foreign policy team managed to solve eight wars. The military conflicts in which Trump's intervention was key to stopping them and achieving a ceasefire are those of Israel and Hamas, Israel and Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia, India and Pakistan, Serbia and Kosovo, Rwanda and Congo, Armenia and Azerbaijan, and Cambodia and Thailand.
A bright future ahead
Trump ended the address by pointing to the imminent 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, which will be celebrated in July. "The revolution that began in 1776 has not ended. It still continues, because the flame of liberty and independence still burns in the heart of every American patriot," the Republican magnate said.
"Our future will be greater, better, brighter, bolder, and more glorious than ever," he added.
