A spectator became unwell in the middle of a performance of 'Función Imposible' and died despite resuscitation attempts

The summer theater season in Mar del Plata was marked by a tragic episode. On Wednesday, February 11, an 80-year-old man died after suffering a medical emergency in the middle of a performance of Función Imposible, the comedy led by Matías Alé at Teatro Olympia.
The spectator had attended the show accompanied by his family. According to reports, he began to feel unwell while the play was underway and he was assisted immediately inside the auditorium.
Medical personnel from SAME arrived at the theater within a few minutes and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, but despite attempts to stabilize him, the man died at the scene.

The situation caused shock both among attendees and among the cast and technical crew. The performance was suspended immediately.
Through a message released on social media, Primer Acto Productora and Untoke Producciones, which are responsible for the show, expressed their regret over what had happened.
"We are sorry to report that during the performance of @funcionimposible we have mourned the loss of a spectator. Only words of comfort to his family, having done everything in a timely and proper manner in order to resuscitate him", they stated.
They also thanked the intervention of the health personnel, the police force, and the staff of the venue, and they highlighted the respectful attitude of the audience in the face of the emergency.
The incident took place during a season that had begun with high expectations for the play, which also features the participation of Roberto Peña and Martina Vignolo.

There he recalled his connection with the seaside city and he mentioned his father as one of the deepest motivations of his career. He also publicly thanked businessman Florencio Aldrey Iglesias for the opportunity to join the traditional walk of fame.
