Thedomestic worker's salary in February 2026 remains unchanged compared with the values in force at the end of 2025. The month's settlement presents a scenario of continuity.
This means that both those who pay by the hour and those who pay a monthly salary must apply the samescales that were in effect in January. For now, there are no decisions regarding a future increase.

What happens with domestic service wages in February 2026
The National Commission for Work in Private Homes (CNTCP) has not issued new wage resolutions. For that reason, employers must continue paying the previously established legal minimum values.
This nominal stability covers the entire country and applies both to monthly payments and to the hourly modality. Any change will depend on a future call by the commission.

According to the official data released by UPACP, the values for work performed in January and paid in February 2026 are the following.

Fifth category: general tasks
It includes cleaning, laundry, and cooking.
Hourly with live-out: $3,250.13
Hourly with live-in: $3,494.25
Fourth category: assistance and care of people
Non-therapeutic care of children, older adults, or people with disabilities.
Hourly with live-out: $3,494.25
Hourly with live-in: $3,894.43

Third category: live-in caretakers
Tasks of care and maintenance of homes where the worker resides.
Hourly (live-in): $3,494.25
Second category: specific tasks
Cooks and staff with special training or specific qualifications.

Staff in charge of two or more workers.

No increases or extraordinary bonuses
In February 2026 no mandatory additional bonus is paid. The benefit per weekly hours that was in effect until December is no longer valid.
Higher amounts will only be paid if there is a voluntary agreement between the parties.

Additional payments that remain in force
Beyond the lack of increases, the legal additional payments continue to apply:
Seniority: 1% for each year worked, based on the monthly salary.
Unfavorable zone: 30% surcharge in Patagonia and covered areas.
What to keep in mind at the time of payment
These values are legal minimums and only apply to duly registered staff. The employer may pay above the scale and record the surplus as "in advance of future increases".
