Ambos implicados en el escándalo fueron obligados a renunciar
It has been almost three months since Andy Byron, then CEO of the technology company Astronomer, was recorded at a Coldplay concert sharing a seemingly intimate gesture with Kristin Cabot, Human Resources Director at the same company. The video went viral on social media: the kiss cam showed him affectionately hugging his colleague while smiling, unaware that this image would place him at the center of a personal and professional storm.
The episode not only cost him his marriage and his job, but also triggered an institutional crisis within Astronomer, which launched an internal investigation after his resignation. Since then, Byron has kept a low profile... until now.
In recent hours, the Daily Mail published photographs showing Andy and his wife Megan walking together on a beach in Maine, holding hands, smiling, and wearing their respective wedding rings. The scene, as intimate as it is symbolic, reignited rumors of reconciliation, since there is currently no formal divorce filing on record.
La esposa del empresario lo habría perdonado
Although neither of them has spoken publicly about the relationship, the images suggest that they might be giving their marriage a second chance after the media scandal that left them exposed on a global scale.
The apology message that was allegedly leaked
As if that were not enough to return to the spotlight, in recent hours a supposed apology message that Andy allegedly wrote to his closest circle has surfaced and was leaked to U.S. media. In that text, the former CEO would acknowledge that "he made a mistake in public perception", but that there was never a romantic relationship with his colleague.
"I failed the most important person in my life due to a reckless act at the wrong time. I have no excuses. I'm working to repair the damage caused and regain my family's trust", would be one of the phrases included in the message, whose authenticity has not yet been confirmed by official spokespersons.
Meanwhile, Kristin Cabot, the woman who appeared with Byron in the viral video, was also affected by the consequences. Although she did not lose her position, she was the target of strong criticism on social media and faced internal questioning. According to a source cited by People magazine, Kristin denies any kind of romantic involvement with the former director.
"Kristin and Andy had a great professional relationship and were good friends. There was never any romance. It was not appropriate to hug your boss at a concert, and she acknowledges that. But the scandal, the loss of employment... all of that is unfair", the close source stated.
