Hansi Flick surprised the world of football with a strong statement about his future: the German coach announced that Barcelona will be the last club in his career as technical director.
In the run-up to the second leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League against Newcastle, the 61-year-old coach was asked about his continuity with the Catalan club, in the midst of negotiations with the leadership led by Joan Laporta. He bluntly made his position clear: "I am here and this will be my last club and my last job.”
Although he avoided delving into contractual issues (he has a link in place until mid-2027), Flick remarked that he does not contemplate leading another team. “I'm not thinking of going anywhere else,” he said, although he also clarified that he must still analyze his future with his closest environment: "I have to talk to my family and now is not the right time
