The important decision Maradona made thanks to a conversation with Pope Francis
A conversation of Bergoglio was revealed in which he convinced Pelusa to acknowledge two of his children
Diego Armando Maradona continues to make news even almost five years after his death, scheduled for November. His figure, an eternal icon of world soccer, was back in the spotlight following the recent death of Pope Francis, who passed into immortality at 88 years old.
In this context, journalist Ernesto Cherquis Bialo made a strong revelation that quickly echoed in the media. It is about a private conversation between the Pope and Maradona that would have been key to a profound personal shift in the life of the Argentine star.
"You know that Maradona, after talking to the Pope for 50 minutes, recognized Diego Sinagra and Jana," Cherquis revealed during his participation in the program No Podemos Perder, hosted by Flavio Azzaro. The statement confirmed a fact that had circulated for years but had never been publicly validated by the protagonists.

The historic journalist, former director of El Gráfico, went further and asserted that this meeting not only changed Diego's relationship with his children but also with religion. "He blessed Dieguito Fernando, his last son, and there life changed for him, as he had broken ties with the Church after the visit to John Paul II and resumed them with Bergoglio," he explained.
Diego Sinagra, born in 1986, is now 38 years old and was the result of an extramarital relationship between Maradona and the Italian Cristiana Sinagra, during his time in Naples. For a long time, the Ten publicly denied his paternity until finally in 2016 the reunion and recognition occurred.

Jana, meanwhile, was born in 1996 and is now 29 years old. She is the daughter of Valeria Sabalain, with whom Maradona had a brief relationship after meeting at the Buenos Aires nightclub El Cielo, owned by Poli Armentano.
