The Republican leader close to Donald Trump, Marc Zell, once again urged the Republican administration to reconsider the position of United States on the dispute over the Falkland Islands and evaluate supporting the Argentine sovereignty over the territory.
Zell expressed his stance through his X account, linking his request to the relationship between the United States, Great Britain, and Israel, especially after the attacks on Iran, and stated that he will continue to pressure the Trump administration to review the British position on the islands.

“Given Britain's desertion of the United States in the war with Iran and Britain's inappropriate intervention in Israel's internal affairs and its sovereign prerogative, I continue to urge the Trump Administration to reexamine Britain's claim over the Falkland/Malvinas Islands and consider supporting Argentina's claim, as I have suggested since March 2026,” he asserted.
Zell's position, president of Republicans Overseas Israel, an organization that groups and represents party voters living outside the U.S., is known at a time when the Argentine claim for the Malvinas has once again become central to the political agenda.

Trump's Statements
The Republican leader's proposal coincides with recent statements from the U.S. president, who was asked about the United States' position regarding the sovereignty dispute between Argentina and the United Kingdom.
In this context, Donald Trump responded: “I always review all positions. That is just one among many.”
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno assured that Argentina “has chances” of recovering the Falkland Islands. When asked about the possibilities of advancing the Argentine claim, the official stated: “There are always chances, we are always closer”.
President Javier Milei
Milei's National Broadcast on the Malvinas
Quirno's statements increased expectations for the announcement that Javier Milei will make this Thursday at 9 PM through a national broadcast, which will address the Malvinas issue.
The presidential spokesperson Adrián Ravier confirmed the president's intervention: “This Thursday at 9 PM, the President of the Nation, Javier Milei, will make a national broadcast with a message regarding the Malvinas issue”.
As Ravier explained, the content of the message is being developed by Milei along with Quirno and the State Intelligence Secretariat. The Government decided to not disclose details about the presidential intervention.
“The content of the message is being worked on by the President, along with Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno and the State Intelligence Secretariat. For now, we cannot reveal more details about the content of the national broadcast,” the spokesperson noted.
In this scenario, Marc Zell's proposal adds pressure to the international discussion surrounding the Malvinas, insisting before the Trump Administration to reexamine its stance and consider supporting the Argentine position, while in Argentina, expectations grow for the message that Milei will deliver tomorrow.
