Argentinians must stop thinking only in dollars and start investing in the country where we live, work, and have our family

It is common to hear that "buying bonds or stocks is a gamble", the stock market is not a gamble. It is a place for investment, a bridge between savings and investment. It enables more employment, better living conditions, and a better path in life.

Moreover, it is not necessary to come from a family of investors: My family is a family of merchants, but it was never linked to financial matters. The Stock Market, for me, has always been an illusion since I was very young, and when I came to Buenos Aires, it became an important part of my life.

I am from the interior of the country, and when I came to Buenos Aires, I started going to the Stock Market, beginning as a tiny, minimal investor, and I transformed into an important investor. My job is to invest in publicly traded stocks, which I study beforehand through balance sheets, attitudes, and what the boards do.

The Stock Market is a bridge between savings and investment

When one has a government like the current one, which has a clear path, those of us in the Stock Market benefit from this type of government.

This is the right path that Argentina has taken. For 90% of my life, I have always lived with governments that discouraged INVESTING; that is, they issued currency and had fiscal deficits.

This government manages expenses, does not issue currency, and this is truly the right path that we Argentinians must take to find a positive Argentina, like the one our ancestors envisioned and that has never been completed.

Why? Because we have had populist governments that were only interested in ensuring that populism was well-received to win elections and did not control the essence of the economy. That is how we have fared.

Investing in dollars is the worst business

I have never invested in dollars in my life, because I believe that investing in dollars is the worst business that exists. It is probably the safest, but it is the worst, because the reality is that the dollar always rises much less than the Stock Market over the years and does not yield profits.

Argentinians have become accustomed to speaking in dollars, thinking in dollars, and spending in dollars. So, what do they do? They save in dollars. And there lies the mistake, because they never make a good deal by being in dollars.

The reality is that the dollar does not even rise with inflation. People assume that it does not lose purchasing power, although the reality is that American inflation, which is 3% or 3.5% annually, deteriorates the dollar.

Here, the dollar deteriorates due to inflation in the United States and, additionally, because our country is a bad business when it comes to dollars.

Great countries invest in businesses

The great countries of the world save in their own currency, invest in businesses, invest in business expectations and go to the Stock Market to seek stocks that allow them to obtain profits.

The reality is that those who do the math know very well that the dollar is the worst business that can be done in Argentina.

If we save in dollars, we are favoring the country that issues the currency in which we save. If we save in pesos, we are favoring Argentina. If we save in dollars, we are favoring those who issue dollars.

The reason lies in the United States. Every dollar issued by the United States that has people who do not live within that country does not cause inflation in that country. Thus, it can issue without problem.

Whereas in Argentina, if too much is issued, that issuance can automatically lead to price increases and, in that way, increase inflation.

Investing in Argentina is trusting in the country

The reality is that the market at this moment distrusts the elections of next year. People have that fear and wonder what will happen. Since I am completely convinced that next year the Government will win the elections, I believe it is time to invest in Argentina.

Investing in Argentina means having confidence in the country and believing that, once and for all, Argentina will continue on the right path that President Milei's government has imposed since the very moment it took the reins of the Government.

To those who want to take their first steps in the stock market, I would say to always invest in Argentina. To invest in the country where you live, in the country where you operate, and in the country where you have your family. That is the way.

What can they invest in? In whatever is most convenient for them: in properties, in fixed terms, in stocks, in bonds, or in other instruments.

But they should always invest in the country and not in foreign currency.
