The Iranian president declared the end of the '12-day war' against Israel
Despite the tough defeat, the Iranian official treated it as a victory
The president of Iran's terrorist regime, Masoud Pezeshkian, officially announced the end of the "12-day war" with Israel, describing it, despite his heavy defeat, as an alleged triumph of the Iranian people's "heroic resistance."
The message was broadcast by the state news agency IRNA and represented a key point within the complex landscape of violence in the Middle East, characterized in recent weeks by intense bombings and armed clashes.
"Today, after the heroic resistance of our great nation, whose determination makes history, we are witnessing the establishment of a truce and the end of this 12-day war (12 días) imposed by Israel's adventurism and provocation," Pezeshkian stated during a speech addressed to the nation.
The Iranian leader assured that his country will comply with the cessation of hostilities as long as Israel also fulfills what was agreed. In an interview with the Iranian newspaper Nournews, he reaffirmed that Iran continues to bet on the "diplomatic path" and will defend its national interests through "dialogue."

These statements were made in a context of high regional tension, after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) carried out an attack on a United States military base in Qatar.
In response, President Pezeshkian held a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who described the IRGC attack as a transgression of Qatari sovereignty and a violation of international law.
The Emir urged Iran to return to the path of diplomacy and to avoid any escalation of the conflict. Meanwhile, Pezeshkian expressed his regret over what had happened and assured that Qatar had not been considered an intentional target.
Regarding the ceasefire announced by Donald Trump, Israel's military authorities opted for a more cautious approach. Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir acknowledged that a significant chapter in the confrontation with Iran had been closed, although he emphasized that the overall operation was still ongoing.
"We have concluded an important chapter, but the campaign against Iran has not ended," Zamir stated. He stressed the importance of not losing focus, despite what he described as a success for Israel in severely damaging Iran's nuclear and missile capabilities.
