Isabella of Denmark will have a 38,000-euro party for her coming of age.
She will be the first Danish princess to publicly celebrate her 18th birthday in six decades
Princess Isabella of Denmark, the second daughter of King Frederik and Queen Mary, will mark a milestone on April 21 by turning 18 years old. She will be the first princess of the Danish monarchy to officially celebrate her coming of age in more than sixty years.
The celebrations will begin even before her birthday, with a series of events organized in the city of Aarhus, which has allocated a total budget of 38,000 euros for the celebration.

A public party with a youth focus
The first day of celebrations will take place on Friday, April 11, driven by the Aarhus city council. This initiative not only celebrates Isabella but also local young talent in disciplines such as music, gastronomy, design, and sports.
From the total budget, 12,000 euros were allocated to hiring actors, 8,000 to catering and drinks, 3,000 to service staff, another 3,000 to sound, and around 1,000 euros to floral decoration. Additionally, more than 1,000 euros have been reserved for a surprise gift whose nature has not yet been revealed.

The royal house had already announced that emerging designers will present a fashion show focused on sustainability. The program will also include a concert by young musicians, a performance by trainee dancers, and a cake made by professional cooking students.
Among the guests will be 100 young people from youth organizations and educational centers. Through a draw, another 50 young people from Aarhus and their companions will also be able to join this special event.
Royal theater, possible decorations, and the first tiara?
On Tuesday, April 15, a new tribute to Isabella will be held with a theatrical performance at the Royal Theater, which she will attend with her family. It is expected that more than 1,000 young people aged 17 to 24 from across the country will be present.
Although an official gala dinner has not yet been confirmed, there is a possibility of repeating a similar event to the one held in 1987 for Prince Joachim, who also held the second place in the line of succession. On that occasion, members of the Danish and Norwegian royal houses attended with tiaras and decorations, and the prince wore for the first time the insignia of the Order of the Elephant.
If such a banquet were held, Isabella could debut her first tiara,as her great-aunts did at their coming of age. Princess Benedikte received a diamond jewel in 1962, which she has continued to use since then, while Anne-Marie of Greece also received a tiara at 18 years old.
If realized, this celebration would not only mark a turning point in Isabella's life but also in the recent history of the Danish monarchy.
