The Government of Javier Milei deepened the bilateral relationship with Singapore through an official visit by the Minister of Human Capital, Sandra Pettovello, who developed an agenda focused on strengthening relations between the two countries.
During her stay in the Asian country, Pettovello held meetings with political, educational, and social authorities, visited institutions of excellence in the Singaporean system, took part in technical meetings, and led activities with the resident Argentine community. The agenda had a comprehensive approach, with an emphasis on public policies aimed at the development of human capital and social development.
One of the central meetings was with Singapore's Foreign Minister, Vivian Balakrishnan. In that context, both parties discussed the 50 years of bilateral relations between Argentina and Singapore, as well as the policies for human resources development and the training of committed citizens.

During the conversation, the minister shared the priorities of the Argentine Government and requested Singapore's support for the candidacy of Rafael Grossi as the next Secretary-General of the United Nations.
The agenda also included a meeting with Singapore's Minister for Manpower, Tan See Leng, who presented the continuous training policies implemented in his country to enhance labor development throughout professional life and their impact on the competitiveness of the economy. The exchange focused on mechanisms for lifelong training and on the coordination between education and the labor market.
In the educational sphere, Pettovello met with David Neo, Senior Minister of State for Education and Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth. In that meeting, they exchanged views on educational policies inside and outside the classroom aimed at developing students' potential.

The minister also visited the Singapore Community Center, where she learned in detail about the operation of neighborhood centers that promote social coexistence, recreation, and community participation, and she toured the Montessori kindergarten "Superland," which operates in the same space.
She also visited the MOE Kindergarten in Tanjong Katong, which is under the Ministry of Education, where she learned about the country's pedagogical approach and early childhood education practices.
Together with local authorities, she also toured the National Institute of Education, the Autonomous Institute of NTU, and the Singapore Centre for Character and Citizenship Education, key institutions in the Singaporean educational system, with a strong focus on teacher training, pedagogical innovation, and the development of human capital.

The minister also visited the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), which offers vocational education and technical training programs aimed at improving the competitiveness of the workforce in strategic sectors.
In the social sphere, she held a meeting with the Minister for Social and Family Development, Masagos Zulkifli, with whom she exchanged experiences on policies aimed at children and families, and she took part in an informational meeting on the Early Childhood Development Agency, which is responsible for regulating and supervising the system of care and education for children from birth to six years of age.

The agenda concluded with a technical roundtable with authorities from Workforce Singapore (WSG) and SkillsFuture Singapore, agencies dedicated to promoting employability and lifelong learning as a State policy.
Finally, in the cultural and social sphere, Pettovello took part in a working lunch with former Second Minister for Education Mohamed Maliki Osman, with whom she analyzed the process of Singapore's transformation since its independence and the policies that turned it into a case of prosperity and economic development.
