The new unconventional developments driven by leading firms such as Tecpetrol, Pluspetrol, and Pampa Energía.
The decision to hold this new edition at Tecnópolis is based on the extraordinary results obtained during the inaugural meeting held on October 29 at the La Fluvial venue in Rosario, province of Santa Fe. On that occasion, the initiative brought together 4,500 people and representatives from 1,800 companies (including 500 companies from Santa Fe), linking executives from 43 major strategic projects with local suppliers from 16 sectors of the economy.

The intensity of the activity in Rosario translated into a total of 3,300 business and networking meetings, specifically distributed into 2,500 direct business meetings and 800 networking meetings aimed at institutional exchange. The opening of the meeting in Santa Fe was led by Minister Luis Caputo, Governor of Santa Fe Maximiliano Pullaro, Chief of Cabinet Diego Santilli, and Secretary General of the Presidency Karina Milei. Additionally, the day featured participation from major international mining companies such as Vicuña, Los Azules, Barrick, Glencore, and Río Tinto.
Analyses released by Energy Report and Mining & Development revealed that one of the key issues arising from the working tables was the need to coordinate prior technical information on timelines and standards. This effort for productive integration reaffirms a highly favorable trend for the national economy: currently, 85% of mining sector purchases are made directly from national suppliers based in Argentina.
The confirmation of Tecnópolis as the epicenter of the second round altered the originally planned regional map. Initially, the province of Córdoba, governed by Martín Llaryora, along with the Federal Mining Table and the Argentine Chamber of Mining Companies (CAEM), emerged as the main candidate to organize the RIGI II Business Round with the aim of integrating its powerful industrial park of machinery and services. However, the decision of the Ministry of Economy determined to move the call to Buenos Aires, although from Mining & Development it was specified that Minister Luis Caputo later indicated that the exact physical venue remains subject to final definition or correction.
The economic transformation process driven by President Javier Milei reaches a new institutional milestone with the consolidation of the Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI), designed to unleash the productive potential of Argentina through the attraction of private capital and the integration of the national value chain. In this framework of renewed international confidence, the Executive Power confirmed the holding of the second RIGI Business Round, scheduled for next Wednesday, December 2 at the Tecnópolis venue, located in the Province of Buenos Aires. The event will feature the star presence of President Javier Milei and Minister of Economy Luis Caputo, reaffirming the State's support for private initiatives and the integration of small and medium enterprises into the global business map.
The formal announcement was made by the head of the economic portfolio, Luis Caputo, through his official account on X: "IMPORTANT. Following the resounding success of the first RIGI Round in Santa Fe, where we connected over 2,500 local suppliers with mining companies, we announce the second Round".
In that message, the minister emphasized the importance of the meeting and included confirmation of political support at the highest level: "Bonus track: we will have the presence of the President of the Nation @JMilei". The choice of the venue located in Buenos Aires carries significant political weight, given that the Province of Buenos Aires has not formally adhered to the investment regime promoted by the libertarian administration.
The volume of capital attracted by the deregulation and economic freedom reforms of the Javier Milei government demonstrates unprecedented dynamism in the country's recent history. According to official figures presented by the Ministry of Economy, the RIGI has registered a total of 48 projects representing estimated investment commitments of u$s210,000 million. This enormous volume of proposals reflects the strong interest of private capital in establishing itself in the country under a new framework of predictability and legal security.
In the sectoral breakdown provided by the Ministry, the oil and gas sector leads the list of projects with 21 projects presented for an extraordinary amount of US$158,110 million. Meanwhile, mining accounts for 18 initiatives valued at US$47,802 million. During the inaugural presentation of the program, Minister Luis Caputo emphasized the federal and developmental vision of the management: "We want all RIGI projects to contribute to the development of the industry and the interior of the country".

The day set for December 2 at Tecnópolis will be exclusively dedicated to the hydrocarbons sector, a strategic industry driven by the unprecedented expansion of the Vaca Muerta reservoir and the execution of large infrastructure works aimed at multiplying oil and gas exports. To address the operationally complex challenges of this sector, the meeting will seek to connect Argentine small and medium enterprises with highly specialized demands such as metalworking equipment, pipes, industrial components, engineering services, construction, transport, logistics, and maintenance.
Among the megaprojects of private capital leading the list of RIGI and illustrating this investment process are:
