Javier Milei voted and criticized Mauricio Macri: 'He's very whiny, he's very fragile'
The Argentine president was received with applause and greetings by a crowd
President Javier Milei participated this Sunday morning in the legislative elections of the City of Buenos Aires, where 30 new legislators are being elected. During his visit to the school where he cast his vote, he was greeted with applause and greetings from his supporters.
Before voting, Milei briefly spoke with the press and harshly addressed the complaint filed by PRO before the Electoral Justice regarding the dissemination of a video caused through artificial intelligence.
When asked about the deepfake showing Mauricio Macri withdrawing Silvia Lospennato's candidacy and endorsing the libertarian Manuel Adorni, the head of state replied bluntly: "Mauricio Macri is being a crybaby and is very fragile."

Milei also expressed confidence about the development of the election day and concluded his brief interaction with the media with a direct message: "Let the people express themselves."
Beyond the impact of his statements, the political attention this Sunday is focused on the Buenos Aires elections. More than 2.5 million voters are eligible to vote and renew 30 seats in the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires. The elected candidates will take office on December 10, 2025, and will have a four-year term, as established by the local Constitution.

These elections present a strong contest between PRO, which has governed the city for 18 years, and La Libertad Avanza, which seeks to consolidate its territorial power. Meanwhile, Leandro Santoro from Peronism seeks to capitalize on the wear and tear of the Buenos Aires administration.
The result of this election will not only define the composition of the Buenos Aires Legislature but will also serve as a political barometer for the coming months.
