The NOTICIAS survey placed him once again in first place, followed by Donald Trump and Lionel Messi

President Javier Milei once again topped the ranking of the most influential personalities in Argentina and established himself as the central figure of the survey that NOTICIAS magazine has published uninterruptedly since 1995.
According to the 2025 survey, the Argentine president holds the top spot on the list for the third consecutive year, a fact that occurs in a context marked by a deep crisis of representation of traditional politics and by a strong reconfiguration of symbolic power in the country.
The survey, prepared exclusively by Giacobbe & Asociados for that outlet, reflects an unprecedented phenomenon since the ranking began: the top 10 is divided equally between living people and already deceased figures. Never before, in the nearly three decades of the survey's history, had there been a similar distribution, which exposes a scenario of fragmentation and of cross-references between current leaderships and historical figures.

Milei's leadership in the 2025 ranking confirms sustained growth that has no precedent in the historical series. Before 2018, the current president didn't appear among the names surveyed. In 2021 he appeared in fourth place, in 2022 he climbed to second place and since 2023 he has remained uninterruptedly at the top. This way, 2025 marks his third consecutive consecration as the most influential person in the country.
The 2025 ranking
The podium repeats exactly the configuration of the previous year. Behind Milei is the president of the United States, Donald Trump, who keeps second place, while third place once again goes to Argentine world champion Lionel Messi, the footballer with the greatest recognition worldwide.
From fourth place onward, figures from Argentine history and already deceased personalities appear, who continue to maintain a high level of symbolic influence. José de San Martín holds fourth place, followed by the corrupt and convicted Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in fifth.
René Favaloro appears in sixth place, while Diego Maradona appears in eighth place, followed by Manuel Belgrano. The top 10 is completed by Juan Domingo Perón in tenth position. In seventh place, pro-government senator and former National Security Minister Patricia Bullrich stands out.
The influence of Milei's government
The survey, carried out between December 5 and 16 throughout the country, also reflects the weight of the current government beyond the presidential figure. Several members of Milei's cabinet appear well positioned in the ranking.
Donald Trump y Lionel Messi.
The Economy Minister, Luis "Toto" Caputo, is in 11th place, followed very closely by Karina Milei, Secretary General of the Presidency, in 12th place. Further back are the Chief of Cabinet, Manuel Adorni, in 28th place, and the former Defense Minister and current deputy, Luis Petri, in 31st.
The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem, holds 45th place, while presidential adviser Santiago Caputo appears in 47th place. Guillermo Francos appears in 60th place, even though at the time of the survey he had been out of office for more than a month.
The ranking also shows a significant setback for opposition figures. Mauricio Macri, one of the few names that has remained present in every edition along with Diego Maradona and Jorge Lanata, fell to 23rd place, his worst position since 2005 and the first time outside the top ten. In the opposition camp, Cristina Kirchner is the only one within the top ten, while Axel Kicillof doesn't appear until 18th place.
In general terms, the survey indicates that, among the 20 most influential people in the country, only half are alive. In the ranking as a whole there are 66 living people, 31 deceased and three legal entities.
Argentines outnumber foreigners and men outnumber women, and presidents, politicians and journalists continue to be the groups with the greatest presence. In that scenario, Javier Milei is consolidating himself as the most influential figure of 2025, reaffirming for the third consecutive year his centrality in the political and symbolic life of the country
