The judge rejected annulling the trial against Diddy Combs for sex trafficking and extortion.

Diddy's defense presented evidence and requested annulment, but the judge decided to proceed with the federal process

Judge Arun Subramanian denied Sean Diddy Combs's request to dismiss the trial he is facing for federal charges of extortion and sex trafficking. The decision came on day 20 of the proceedings, making it clear that the music mogul would continue to face the accusations.

The origin of the legal dispute dates back to the statement of Bryana Bongolan, a friend of Cassie, who claimed that Diddy held her dangerously over the edge of a balcony in an apartment in Los Angeles in September 2016.

However, Diddy's defense questioned this version after revealing text messages between Cassie and Kristina Khorram, Diddy's former chief of staff. In those messages, Cassie admitted she had not witnessed the incident and described the account as "crazy."

This information led Diddy's lawyers to request the annulment of the trial, accusing the prosecution of basing its arguments on potentially false testimony. They also questioned the photographs presented that supposedly showed Bongolan's injuries.

The metadata of those images indicated they were taken on September 26, 2016, when Diddy was on the East Coast, which complicated the credibility of the evidence. Despite this, prosecutors pointed out that the incident would have occurred a few days later, around September 29 or 30.

Diddy continues to face multiple charges, including those related to racketeering and sex trafficking, as the trial moves forward without pause.
