The media confrontation between JulietaPoggio and Eugenia "laChina" Suárez added a new and unexpected chapter: the public intervention of PatriciaDestefani, mother of the former Gran Hermano contestant, who decided to respond to the actress after her ironic message on X.
The dancer's mother expressed her discomfort regarding the reference to her daughter's past in the halls of Polka, a comment she considered out of place and which reignited speculation about the tension between both figures.
The controversy arose from a clip aired on Rumis, where Poggio asked if China was part of the cast of La Hija del Fuego: la venganza de la bastarda.
La madre de la bailarina brindó una dura entrevista contra la actriz
The phrase, which for her was just a passing question, ended up going viral and was interpreted on social media as a jab. In response to that digital echo, China Suárez reacted with a message that did not go unnoticed: "How strange that you don't know I act, Juli. I remember you as a child at Polka, always dressed up to see if you could land a role…".
The post ignited the conflict and led Julieta's mother to speak with Puro Show. "What hurt me the most was the disparaging tone of the comment," Destefani said, visibly affected by the way Suárez referred to her daughter's childhood.
She explained that when Juli was little, she accompanied her sister Lola to record Solamente vos and that this was part of a family routine, not a desperate search for acceptance. "My daughters always dressed up because they're stylish. That's all," she clarified.
Poggio's mother also focused on Julieta's professional development, emphasizing that her career has nothing to do with Suárez's insinuations. "Everything she achieved was through hard work. She's a born worker, anyone who sees her knows it," she stated.
She even recalled that at that time the young woman starred in El Principito at the Coliseo theater, which dismisses any negative interpretation of her presence in television studios.
Far from appearing affected, Poggio took the situation with humor, according to her mother. "She laughed because she never doubted that China was an actress. She only asked if she acted in that particular series," she explained. Destefani, however, suggested that there might be another reason behind Suárez's reaction: "I get the feeling that there's something else that's bothering her."
Amid the debate, other voices came out in defense of Julieta. Aunt Sebi, a panelist close to the young woman, directly questioned China on social media: "Juli didn't ask if you're an actress, but if you acted in that series. Making enemies with women is your favorite sport."
Meanwhile, Lizardo Ponce —host of the show where the episode occurred— tried to defuse the drama: "Juli only asked about the series, not about media conflicts."
Patricia Destefani's stance sought to close ranks around her daughter and make it clear that, in the face of comments on social media, there is a story of work and effort behind Julieta Poggio's name. Although the digital clash has already lost intensity, the echo of the confrontation once again proves something: when it comes to the entertainment world, a simple question can spark an unexpected controversy.
