A judicial resolution has once again placed the Stoessel family at the center of media attention. Alejandro Stoessel, Mariana Muzlera, and Francisco “Fran” Stoessel obtained a precautionary measure in court related to the dissemination of private financial information concerning Pepe Ochoa and, as explained by Marina Calabró, it also affects LAM and América TV.

“The first precautionary measure from the Stoessels has arrived. Alejandro, Fran, and also Mariana, that is, Tini's father, mother, and brother, filed a precautionary measure against a colleague,” Calabró reported on her show Primicias Ya. The journalist explained that the request had previously faced an unfavorable ruling.

The Court reversed the first-instance decision

“The first instance did not grant them relief, and then they appealed, went to court, and the court sided with them on a very specific point,” Calabró explained. According to her account, the family decided to challenge the original decision and received a favorable response in the higher court.

“The first-instance judge said no, I will not grant them relief, I will not impose a legal muzzle on Pepe Ochoa,” the host recounted while explaining the case's progression. However, she added that the court decided to “overturn that decision” and establish restrictions regarding certain information.

What information cannot be disseminated

“Translated into English, this is a legal muzzle for Pepe Ochoa,” Calabró defined, using that expression to describe the practical scope of the precautionary measure. The resolution, according to the information shared on the program, does not cover any content about the Stoessel family but specifically targets a series of financial data.

The measure prohibits “reading, transcribing, reproducing, disseminating all types of content related to credit and debit card statements, bank statements, purchase histories, payments, debts, credits registered on e-commerce platforms and virtual wallets.” The protected data pertains, as detailed by Calabró, to Francisco Stoessel, Mariana Muzlera, and Alejandro Stoessel.

The scope regarding LAM and América TV

“This is against Pepe Ochoa and also extends to LAM and affects América,” the host pointed out. Thus, the restriction would not be limited solely to the journalist but would also encompass the spaces and media from which that information could potentially be reproduced.

“The court sided with them on a very specific point,” Calabró emphasized, distinguishing this decision from a general prohibition on discussing the Stoessels. According to the information provided, the focus of the precautionary measure is specifically on preventing certain private financial records from being read, reproduced, or publicly disseminated.

“It resolves to overturn that decision,” the journalist summarized regarding the change between the two judicial instances. The resolution thus represents the first favorable outcome for Alejandro Stoessel, Mariana Muzlera, and Fran Stoessel within this presentation and establishes concrete limits on the media treatment of the mentioned financial information.
