The violence and insecurity were once again exposed in the province of Buenos Aires with a fierce shootout that lasted for hours in the early hours of Saturday in the Complejo 19, an area of monoblocks in La Tablada, in the district of La Matanza.
Terrified neighbors recorded the sound of gunfire with their phones, which was fired repeatedly and with what they described as a machine gun.
The incident also ended with one dead. Alan Gabriel Chazarreta, 27 years old and residing in Ciudad Evita, was admitted severely injured to the Balestrini Hospital shortly after the shooting. He had received a single shot and died after arriving at the medical center located near the site of the confrontation.

Chazarreta's death is under investigation by the UFI of Homicides in La Matanza. For now, there is no evidence linking the young man to the shots fired during the confrontation. The news of his admission to the hospital was communicated to the Justice several hours later.
The violent episode again highlights the serious security crisis in the province due to the disastrous management of the ultra-Kirchnerist governor Axel Kicillof. In this case, the confrontation lasted for hours, and neighbors were caught in the midst of the gunfire, with bursts fired from a machine gun.
Another recent case
Armed violence also had another recent episode in Ciudad Evita. Last Wednesday, in the Barrio 22 de Enero, a 28-year-old man named Nicolás was shot dead. He was registered as living in Laferrere, and his body was found on the street, with several gunshots and spent casings.

His ex-partner told the media that Nicolás “used and went to buy”. The investigation determined that a criminal executed him with several shots to the chest in front of a neighbor's house.
While officers from the Bonaerense Police were conducting forensic work after the murder, another group of criminals arrived in a car, fired in the middle of the operation, and then escaped.
The two episodes, occurring just days apart, once again expose the violence that permeates the Province of Buenos Aires under Kicillof's management, with armed confrontations, robberies, and murders.
