Konami has released the launch trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the highly anticipated remake of the 2004 classic.
The video showcases key moments from the story and previews the technical changes brought by this new version, which is set to release in a matter of days.

A remake that revives a classic
Metal Gear Solid Delta arrives on August 28 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. This is a complete reconstruction of the original title with graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5. These provide greater realism in environments, lighting, and character details.
The trailer focuses on the relationship between Naked Snake and his mentor, The Boss, offering scenes that many fans consider iconic. However, it does include segments that may be seen as spoilers.
What changed in this version
Gameplay incorporates improvements in controls and comfort, although the most notable changes are visual. Now, Snake's wounds, cuts, and wear are displayed in real time, increasing immersion in the experience.

Hideo Kojima's story, along with the original voices and soundtrack, has been kept intact, respecting the essence of the 2004 title.
Extra modes and new features
The remake includes the return of Snake vs Monkey on PS5 and PC, while on Xbox Series it has been replaced by Snake vs. Bomberman. It also adds a new multiplayer mode, Fox Hunt, scheduled for the fall, although without cross-play.

It is worth remembering that Metal Gear Solid 3 had already returned in the Master Collection Vol. 1 in 2023, but this Delta version aims to deliver a much greater technical and narrative leap.
