Sergio "Kun" Agüero once again showed his support for the government of Javier Milei and emphasized the importance of "supporting what is in place today." Although he avoided directly mentioning the president, he stressed that "we have to support what people voted for."
"I think the country is sometimes doing well, sometimes it's doing badly," he replied when asked about the current situation in Argentina during a public event. "It's like everything, if we look at it, when I was a child, my friends from the neighborhood and I didn't have enough to eat. Not having enough to eat has existed for years," he reflected.
Along those lines, the former Independiente forward highlighted the need to accept the decision of those who chose change. "I think in the end we have to support what is in place today and support what people voted for, I think that's the goal," he added.

The former national team player's remarks were made during an event organized by the Paolini Foundation. There, he was first asked about his view of the national reality and then about the strong political division the country is experiencing. "It makes me angry, those fights that, in my opinion, make no sense," he replied.
His statements quickly went viral on social media and became a trending topic, especially because this isn't the first time he has expressed a political stance close to the libertarian administration.
Kun Agüero's support for Milei's government
In November of last year, while the Sports Corporations (SAD) project was being discussed on the public agenda, Sergio "Kun" Agüero visited the Casa Rosada and held a meeting with presidential advisor Santiago Caputo.

"Clubs should be able to be privatized, but that shouldn't be mandatory. Members should decide. It's essential," the former Manchester City forward had stated during a broadcast on his streaming channel.
However, Agüero's alignment with Javier Milei's ideas was not limited to the football sphere. Years ago, when the current president was still a congressman and promoted free currency competition in the media, the former player also expressed himself in the same direction.
"For me, we have to get rid of pesos and use dollars. I'd say, now everyone earns their salary in dollars. If we need dollars everywhere. Where do you take pesos? Nowhere. Look at Spain, remember it had pesetas and they got rid of them," he said in 2022.
