'Lali is getting on my nerves': Roberto Piazza doubted the bomb threat

The designer suggested that Lali Espósito's complaint in San Juan was staged and accused her of corruption

Designer Roberto Piazza once again launched harsh criticism against Lali Espósito, this time on the TN program hosted by Franco Mercuriali. During an interview, he questioned the truthfulness of the bomb threat that interrupted the singer's show in San Juan.

With his direct style, Piazza stated without filters:  "I don't believe any of it." He doubled down by saying:  "I can also call from my house before coming to your program and say 'there's a bomb threat with Franco' and we have a 50 percent rating."

Piazza spoke of "corruption" and overbilling

This isn't the first time the designer has targeted Lali. In the past, he linked her to the Kirchnerist governments, whom he accused of paying her millions for artistic performances.

This time, he went further.  He called her corrupt and stated: "They've paid her fortunes to do what she's doing. That's a fact, it's true." He also added:  "They received fortunes even to attend the LGBT march. The Kirchnerist government paid her and many others."

Annoyed by the artist's media exposure, he said:  "This girl, who gets on my nerves, is given as much prominence as if she were actually someone important."

Live confrontation and support for Milei

In response to his remarks, one of the panelists reminded him that President Javier Milei himself had initiated the public exchanges with the singer and that the media were simply echoing the back-and-forth.

However, Piazza didn't back down and reaffirmed his criticism.  The host of the program also commented: "I'd believe Lali if she said 'How dangerous, how sad,' when La Cámpora entered TN and destroyed everything."

What happened at the San Juan concert

The episode that sparked the controversy took place  on Friday, August 1, at the Aldo Cantoni stadium, where Lali was scheduled to perform a show. Minutes before the concert, a woman called 911 to warn about a bomb threat.

The police activated the corresponding protocol, one of the stands was evacuated, and the bomb squad carried out a security operation.

Although the audience's entry was delayed, any danger was ultimately ruled out. The singer was able to perform as planned and the night ended without incident. According to local media, it all appears to have been a false alarm.
