The death of Ángel López, the 4-year-old boy who died in Comodoro Rivadavia, continues to add elements that complicate the investigation and deepen suspicion. While the Justice is trying to determine if it was a natural act or a homicide, the complaint no longer has doubts and points directly against the mother of the minor and her partner. Attorney Roberto Castillo, representative of Luis López, was categorical: “The mother and her partner murdered him and are covering up,” he said, forcefully installing the hypothesis of a crime in the middle of a file that still awaits key definitions
.One of the most important data emerged from the preliminary autopsy. Prosecutor Facundo Oribones confirmed that the minor had “injuries to the cranial area”, which set off alarms as part of the investigation. In addition, he provided a disturbing fact: “The blows, at most, would have been ten days ago”, which places the mother, Mariela Altamirano, and her partner at the center of suspicion. However, the cause of death is not yet defined. The result will depend on the histopathological report, which must establish whether the lesions were voluntary or accidental.
Attorney Castillo's position matches what the boy's father had already said publicly: “Ángel was killed. My son wasn't a sick boy, he was in good health, he was healthy, what are they going to tell me?”
