Livestock experts say they do not know "what the ceiling is" for current cattle prices.
The boom that the sector is experiencing is evident week after week in Córdoba through the strength shown by the prices paid both for breeding animals and for those destined for consumption.
At the Monday auction held by the firm Consignaciones Córdoba at the Rural Society of Jesús María (SRJM), 10% increases were observed for the consumption category and of more than 11% for feeder cattle, if last week's prices are compared with this week's.

In the fat cattle segment, light steers rose by $270 to reach a maximum of $5,550, which meant a 5% increase.
Meanwhile, the intermediate category rose by $500 and was sold at $5,500, which represented a 10% increase.
In turn, the heaviest animals were sold at $5,400, since they recorded an increase of $250.
