This Monday, during a new auction by Consignaciones Córdoba at the Rural de Jesús María, the price of steers remained stable, while the price of calves dropped, which benefits the livestock producer's business.
The young steer weighing 300 to 350 kilograms (661 to 772 pounds) was paid at $3,300 per live kilogram, the same amount that was paid at last week's auction.
The price of the young steer serves as a reference for the dynamics of meat prices on store shelves.
Meanwhile, the calf weighing 100 to 150 kilograms (220 to 331 pounds) reached a price of $4,100 per kilogram, 7% below the auction held seven days earlier.
