Magario confessed that her candidacy is merely symbolic: 'My intention is not to take office.'

The Buenos Aires vice governor and candidate Verónica Magario revealed that she doesn't plan to take office either

Amid the controversy over the purely symbolic nature of several legislative candidacies promoted by Kirchnerism, the Buenos Aires vice governor and provincial deputy candidate, Verónica Magario, confessed that her "idea is clearly not to take office".

Meanwhile, she sent a direct message to Máximo Kirchner, who in recent hours had criticized Governor Axel Kicillof for the distribution of funds: “Investments were made in several places and we shouldn't get into arguments.”

Magario made these statements on Tuesday morning, when she gave an interview to Futurock, a radio station close to Kirchnerism, where she was also asked about her candidacy.

Javier Milei and the danger he represents for the Argentine people, for production, and for jobs must be stopped. This can't go on like this, the course must be changed and Milei must be made aware of it at the polls. A vote against Milei must be cast,” Verónica Magario stated with determination, lying and hiding the fact that her political party left the country on the verge of the worst crisis in history.

In that context, the journalist asked her: “One of the criticisms, for example, that the President made of Kirchnerism is about whether or not there will be symbolic candidacies. Verónica, is your candidacy symbolic

Magario dodged the direct answer and said: “My candidacy is the clear representation of a group of men and women who govern differently from the President. Milei covered 15 trillion pesos (33.07 billion pounds) and raised the credit rates that people have with their cards. Now he has to cover another 13 trillion pesos (28.66 billion pounds), and he will continue with the same methodology.”

Meanwhile, without answering the initial question, she continued lying: “We are not the same as Milei, and we can move this country forward in a different way. What the President is doing in the micro and macroeconomy is killing us.”

At that moment, from the studio, Florencia Halfon Laksman asked again: “So, what you're saying is that the names are not the issue and that your plan is not to take office?

With no more options, Magario had to confess: “My candidacy aims to make that visible. No, clearly my intention is not to take office but to remain at Axel Kicillof's side. We are part of Axel's team and have been working for six years, and we will continue working.”
