Emanuel Ginóbili is an icon of Argentine sports and a legend of world basketball. However, his greatness is not only reflected in his successful career in the NBA and the Argentine National Team, but also in his unwavering commitment to his hometown, Bahía Blanca. Over the years, Ginóbili has carried out multiple charitable actions that have had a significant impact on his community, and this occasion will be no exception.
Through his social media, Manu posted a video in which he asks for collaboration with those affected by the torrential rains in the Buenos Aires city. "Hello everyone, as you have surely seen, the situation in my hometown, Bahía Blanca, is desperate. There are people who have lost absolutely everything they had, there are deceased people, and there are people who are missing," began the former San Antonio Spurs player.

His message continued: "Our people's willingness to help when it's most needed is well-known. This is one of those moments. We have to help these people get back on their feet, to move forward after another blow the city has received. If you can and if you can afford it and want to donate in kind, you can surely do so through the nearest club or church. Nowadays, fortunately, there are places all over the country where you can donate."
In the closing of the video, the national basketball legend called to collaborate with anything within reach through the Municipality of Bahía Blanca and the Sí Foundation. "Any contribution is valid and helps a lot to a community that is struggling. I send you a big hug and thank you very much," he concluded.
Manu had already spoken about it with a tweet on the same day of the catastrophe, posting a message of concern and support for those affected. "Another hard blow for my beloved Bahía Blanca. Now a flood. What sadness to see! A huge hug from afar to all those who are having a hard time," he wrote on Friday on his X account.
