Carmen Barbieri returns to MasterChef Celebrity after a lucrative offer and stepped down from her show on El Nueve
Carmen Barbieri was once again called by Telefe to join a new edition of Masterchef Celebrity. The decision caused a stir, as it put her move to El Nueve on hold, where she had a very advanced project.
According to reports, Telefe's offer was economically irresistible and outweighed any other ongoing negotiations. The actress chose to prioritize the culinary reality show and withdrew from other commitments.
Why is Carmen Barbieri returning to Masterchef?
The information was revealed by Marcela Tauro on Intrusos (América TV), where she confirmed that Barbieri had already arranged her participation. "She will be on Masterchef Celebrity, which will take place in the third quarter of the year," the journalist detailed.
The last time she participated, she had to leave the competition due to health complications after contracting coronavirus. At that time, her son Federico Bal replaced her during several galas.

"I was told that they tripled her money," Tauro revealed, after speaking with a direct source from the host's circle. With that financial incentive, the offer was impossible to refuse.
Telefe is looking for a strong season and is assembling a staff with names that ensure ratings. Barbieri's return would be one of the main attractions.
What happened to her project at El Nueve?
Meanwhile, on Los Profesionales de Siempre (El Nueve), Flor de la V was surprised. "She abandoned everything, left the phone, and left. A month and a half of negotiation and Carmen withdrew from El Nueve," she said live.
The channel already had everything ready. There was even a pre-contract signed and, according to the network, all her financial requests had been met.

Estefi Berardi provided more details and assured that Carmen had a meeting with the channel's authorities. "They treated her very well, but then she sat down with her manager and chose another proposal," she explained.
Additionally, she said that Barbieri prefers to dedicate herself to theater this year. "She's tired. It was many years in front of programs on El Trece and she wants to rest her image on TV," she added.
