'Maximiliana': this is the simple and secure phone for older adults
The cellphone has large icons, reads messages, responds automatically, and can be controlled from another phone
Maximiliana is a smartphone with large icons, message reading, and automatic call answering. It is designed so that older adults can use it without depending on anyone.
Additionally, family members can control it remotely from an app. It has a long-lasting battery and easy-to-use emergency features.

How did the Maximiliana project come about?
The device was created by Jorge Terreu, a young engineer from Zaragoza. His motivation was to help his grandmother, Maximiliana, communicate with the family without complications.
The idea came up while he was living in France, when he saw how difficult it was for his grandmother to use a conventional cell phone. He wanted to develop a phone that would work without the user having to do anything.
This is how Maximiliana works
This cell phone uses its own operating system, with a minimalist interface that is very easy to use. Only the photos of the contacts appear on the main screen.

To communicate, the older adult only needs to tap an image. Calls and video calls are answered automatically, and the volume adjusts automatically to make hearing easier.
Message reading and automatic sound
The cell phone also reads incoming text messages aloud. This turns any message into audio, which is ideal for those who have vision problems.

The speaker activates automatically when a conversation starts, making everything more comfortable and clear.
Total remote control from another app
One of the most innovative features is that family members can manage everything from their own cell phone. They only need to install a special control app.
From that app, they can:
- Add or remove contacts
- View real-time GPS location
- Check battery level
- Enable or disable features
- Block unknown calls

Emergency function and alert light
If there is an emergency, the user only needs to shake the phone to trigger an automatic call to the assigned contact.
Additionally, the cell phone emits a light signal with the flashlight to alert those nearby.
Design, battery, and materials
The phone comes with a magnetic charging base, which eliminates the need to plug it in. You just place it on the base and it starts charging.

The battery lasts between 3 and 4 days. It also includes a non-slip silicone case, safety cord, and screen protector.
What does it include and how much does it cost?
For now, Maximiliana is only sold in Spain and operates with a monthly subscription model of 30 euros.
That price includes:
- The complete device and accessories
- SIM card with 25 GB and unlimited calls
- Control app for family members
- Customer service
