María Becerra, one of the most successful Argentine singers at the moment, once again showed her most sensitive side by reflecting on the inequalities she still sees in Quilmes, a municipality governed by Kirchnerist Mayra Mendoza.
In an interview on LuzuTV, the artist promoted her upcoming show at River Plate stadium and recalled her origins. "It happens to me a lot when I go back to Quilmes, to my parents' house. I see all kinds of realities," she commented.
The singer said that she has friends who live in apartment blocks and others in gated communities. That diversity led her to value simple gestures that for many are luxuries. "I realize the privilege of drinking bottled water and not water from the tap in Quilmes," she expressed.

Sensitivity for her neighborhood and social perspective
Becerra emphasized that this contrast becomes more evident when she returns to her hometown. "It's something that seems normal to me today, but there are many people for whom it's a privilege," she pointed out.
