Konami has confirmed that the remake Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will receive its highly anticipated online multiplayer mode. It's called Fox Hunt and will be available on October 30 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
This mode will be free for all players and combines the classic mechanics of the franchise with new features in team-based stealth and survival.
Este modo será gratuito para todos los jugadores
What the new Fox Hunt multiplayer mode offers
Fox Hunt is inspired by Metal Gear Online, released in 2008 alongside MGS4, but adds a more dynamic approach. The main objective is to survive until the end, facing matches with up to 12 players in teams of two.
The missions include three types of scenarios. Among them is the classic jungle environment, and two different mission rules that are randomly selected in each match. Those who do not meet the objectives are eliminated.
First gameplay of the multiplayer mode
During the latest preview, the first gameplay of Fox Hunt was shown, available between minute 9:26 and 22:35 of the official event. Its new mechanics could be seen there.
Among the most striking elements is the AT-Camo, an all-terrain suit that instantly changes its pattern to infiltrate, ambush, or escape. Naked Sense is also included, an ability that enhances the senses to detect enemies and resources, although it requires careful stamina management.
A mode designed for strategy and stealth
Fox Hunt focuses on stealth and cooperation, key elements in the Metal Gear franchise. The combination of action, advanced camouflage, and survival makes it a unique proposal within the genre.
